If you go to the main site and look at the flah of the site and put your mouse over "Listen Anywhere" it'll pop up and it does mention sonos but you'll have to ask or email tech support to see how it works with mediamaster.
Sonos support indicated that one can import iTunes playlists, but not the other way around, i.e. export Sonos playlists to iTunes. They said that they would put it on the wish list. No word at all about Media Master. The latest Sonos software upgrade allows access to stand alone network drives. Check their website and/or send Sonos support a question. I'm still wondering exactly how to listen to my Media Master library via my Sonos?
I'm not sure if you can access your Sonos created playlists, per your question, but I'd like to know how I can access my MM drive from the Sonos system. Anyone have any ideas for a VPN or network drive or some way to do this?
Thanks, I'll try that.
Looks like there is la lot of work ahead
I hate having to redo stuff twice, but if it works it's worth it.
For some, I don't have the originals, so I'll have to trans code them. That implies a loss of quality . But again, if that works... it's better than nothing.

Thanks again Igor for the tip.
Certain MP3 encodings were known to have an issue like this. If you have originals - try to rip them into non VBR / 192 and see if problem goes away.
_________________
Igor Cherny

Posted: Mon Aug 04, 2008 12:12 pm (GMT -7)

I have just begun uploading my collection and noticed that some tracks that play fine on my computer are uploaded partially or behave strangely when uploaded here.

- "Sand in my Face" by 10cc on the "10cc" album, plays slow-motion and lasts only 1:41 instead of 3:39, same for Donna on the same album and a few others on some other albums I have uploaded. At the end, they just stay stuck and repeat like an old vinyl record.

- For some others, like "Peace in Our Time" on the "Mirror Mirror" album, again by 10cc, they play at normal speed but have only about 1/3 of their regular lengths and do the same kind of repeating like stuck needles on old vinyls.

I have tried deleting the tracks from my collection and re-uploading them... with no improvement at all.

Like I said, they play fine on my computer (or any other one where I plug my USB portable hard drive).

Any idea what the problem may be and how to solve it?
I don't know if other's would agree with this, but since there are quite bit of music listeners out there who like to import lyrics into their MP3 files; I just wanted to give a suggestion to MM that it would be cool if MM could support and view lyrics for each song? Don't know if it's possible, but it's something to think about for maybe future releases or updates.
I read somewhere on the Media Master site that one can use Media Master in conjunction with their Sonos Digital Music System. I guess you're just able to stream music from Media Master to your Sonos to listen. But, does anyone know of a way to import my Sonos play lists into Media Master?
Yeah these guys are great. Even with that slight outage we had over the July 4th weekend, they were quick to respond and get right on it. This is sooo much better than Mercora. The quality, reliability, versatility, and like you said we don't have to leave the computer on. And, of course, it's free! If I had thought Mercora would shut down I would have saved my Mercora friends' emails to let them know about Media Master.
_________________
Music to relax your mind and energize your soul 24 hours a day.
